With over 20 years practicing therapy with children and adults, I value recognizing the 'human' parts of our self. I find worth in examining our thinking and exploring if our living is consistent with our values and aspirations. I am a certified Master Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) practioner, certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and have competencies in adoption, perinatal/postpartum, infant mental health, Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Certified Professional Coach (CPC), Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), and Structured Psychotherapy for Adolescents Responding to Chronic Stress (SPARCS). I am a Qualified Supervisor (QS) for Registered Mental Health Counselor interns in the state of Florida. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia, and a telehealth professional counselor in South Carolina (TLC). I am certified by the Florida Certification Board as a Telehealth Practitioner (CTP).
my story
I was the recipient of the Northeast Florida Children's Coalition Therapist of the Year (2010) and part of a four person team awarded the Prudential Davis Productivity Award (2012). Originally from Pennsylvania, I moved to Jacksonville to attend graduate school at the University of North Florida. I am an avid reader, Pelotoner, former runner, yogi, and enjoy the beach. I reside in Jacksonville, Florida with my husband and three children. I like to think that I am a perfectionist in recovery and on my own on-going quest to accept all of my human parts.
